Left wing science fiction author Ken MacLeod has a heavy duty but interesting blog. I’ve only read one of his books – the Stone Canal – but I’ll be reading more if and when I get the chance.

I was a big fan of 1980s hardcore/pop group Husker Du (still am) and it has been good following former Husker guitar king Bob Mould via his blog which covers all sorts of stuff including US politics. Mould has become more politically ouspoken over the years on issues close to his heart and his comments on the US political climate are always interesting.
